YO HO! And welcome to the Great Maine Lumberjack Show, celebrating our 29th year as New England's Premier Edu-tainment center! Our unique, permanent logging sports facility is nestled in the picturesque Maine woods in Trenton, next to the Gateway to the Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We invite you to come and enjoy a re-enactment of a historical lumberjack camp from the era of the 1870‘s, when the Down East Acadia Region was one of America's largest logging ports, with Maine's towering white pines providing timber for tall ship masts, as well as board lumber that helped to build our nation.
Each summer evening you will hear the big crosscut saws singing in the forest, just as you would have heard in a logging camp competition in the Maine woods over 100 years ago ...and you will watch the thrilling lumberjack sports of wood chopping and sawing, tree climbing, ax throwing, and everyone’s favorite... log rolling... all exhibited with a modern twist, mixed with history, comedy, and lots non-stop, razor-sharp action!
Two teams of athletes compete in twelve events, highlighting the Olympics of the Forest in an entertaining and educational ‘LIVE’ show. You will be a part of the action as you cheer on your favorite team! The 1 & 1⁄4 hour show includes special events for children to participate in and is perfect for the whole family.
You’ll love the Camp Shack selling fresh, hot popcorn, cold drinks, snacks, and our super cool, affordable T-Shirts are the perfect souvenir from your Maine vacation!
